Company history

Te Ngahere was established in 1996 to provide key conservation-related services to local and central government.

The original founders recognized a niche for a professional organization offering specialist skills in native forest management. Since then, Te Ngahere has grown to a size where it engages between 35 and 45 full time staff.

In late 2009, Te Ngahere was purchased by Southern Monitoring Services Ltd to build on a proven record of quality and, in doing so, to enhance the Te Ngahere position as a trusted provider of environmental services.
